The Gaspé Peninsula is rich in tales and legends, most of them brought to us by the shipwrecked people who populated its shores, and then passed down in their entirety within families, as well as by many of the “storytellers” of the day.

Mont-Louis is filled with incredible stories and legends. The aim of this festival is to revive the tradition of the “conteux” and highlight the rich oral heritage of the Gaspé Peninsula.
